Our Love of Children Foundation
Guardian Board Members
Our Love of Children Foundation is fortunate to have some of the most supportive and caring people in the community who act as Guardians (trustees). The following people are our Guardians and have been selected for their skills, knowledge, community involvement, and capacity to mentor the qualities we aim to instill in children.

Bryce Winton Brown
Bryce is the founder for Our Love of Children Foundation, he was educated as an engineer, and later went on to work as a management consultant to hospitals. In working with hospitals, he saw first-hand the disturbing trends with children’s health and the risks associated with environmental destruction. In naming the organization, Bryce wanted to unite people in support of children living healthy and sustainable lives. He has lived in Boulder County for ten years, and has volunteered for 5 years with Voices for Children, where he worked with abused and neglected children.

Guardian Role: Bryce’s role with Our Love of Children Foundation is to maintain the vision for the organization, and to develop plans and strategies that meet the organization’s purpose.


Marnie Almirall
Marnie has a Master’s in Education; she was the facilitator of the mentoring program at Brockton High School, one of the largest schools in the country with a population of over 4,500 students. Marnie has extensive teaching experience assisting children with tutoring, study skills, reading and comprehension. Marnie is fluent in Spanish and French; she is the owner of Aprendamos/ Let’s Learn, a business providing language services to businesses in the community.

Guardian Role: Marnie’s role with Our Love of Children Foundation is the educational advisor on matters pertaining to language, cultural diversity and youth mentoring.


Jennifer LaBrecque
Jennifer LaBrecque is the owner of Abacus Bookkeeping Services; she has a Master's in Public Administration with an emphasis on Health Policy from the University of Colorado. She has an interest in children’s health and has served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate, working with abused and neglected children.

Guardian Role: Jennifer’s role with Our Love of Children Foundation is to ensure the financial wellbeing of the organization and to facilitate programs that develop healthy lifestyles and improve public health.


Tim Kerns
Tim is an attorney, who has been working with children as a Guardian ad Litem in North East Colorado and Boulder County for ten years. Tim advocates for children involved in cases of child abuse and neglect and is the past president of the 13th Judicial District Bar Association. Tim is committed to the well-being of children throughout Colorado.

Guardian Role: Tim’s role with Our Love of Children Foundation is advocate for the present and future wellbeing of children and to promote the organizations effectiveness in addressing the social causes and supporting the needs of at-risk children.
